Beijing City was the heart of the Demon Race's control over the Northern Continent.
The Northern Continent, one of the Five Continents of the Eternal True World, lay in its far north. Though its environment was not as harsh as the Western Continent's, it was hardly much better. If there was anything worth praising about it, it was its sheer size.
Among the Five Continents, the Northern Continent was the largest, followed by the Eastern Continent, the Southern Continent, the Western Continent, and finally the Central Continent. Yet despite its vast territory, the Northern Continent was relatively poor in resources, ranking above only the Western Continent. When its enormous size was taken into account, its resource density was the lowest of all.
As a result, most races living in the Northern Continent were fierce and combative. After all, in a godforsaken place like this, anyone who refused to fight for their life could only wait to starve.
On the Demon Race's path to supremacy, the Northern Continent had also been the toughest nut to crack. Shen Yu had not even been born then, and the Demon Race was still in the era of the Three Saint Gods. The Qilin were the first to extend their reach into the Northern Continent, and only after pouring tremendous effort into it did they nominally conquer the entire continent.
After the Demon Race established its supremacy over the Eternal True World, the Northern Continent remained the greatest headache for the Three Saint Gods among all Five Continents. Most of the younger members of the Dragonfolk, Phoenix, and Qilin races had to spend a long time traveling there.
Of the five children of First Phoenix, one of the Three Saint Gods, four became rising stars of the Demon Race during that period.
