Doyle Lind was Xiao Lin, one of the Intruders. Though he was hardly an old hand, he had completed several missions and could at least be called experienced. By all rights, he should not have been nervous, but this time was different.

The Crimson Moon storyline was unlike ordinary storylines. The Crimson Moon Script was one of the few Question Mark Scripts in the Hall.

What did a Question Mark Script mean in the Hall? It meant a Script with an extremely high risk of the plot spiraling out of control and the story world collapsing.

For Intruders, death did not exist unless they lost all their plot points. The Question Mark Script was different, however. In those worlds, it was possible to die without being able to revive.

Unless a Big Shot in the Hall was willing to spend an enormous number of plot points to correct the storyline and bring you back, dying in a Question Mark Script world meant dying for good.

The reason the Crimson Moon storyline was called the metal killer was simple. A team composed entirely of gold-rank members had once tried to clear it and turn its story world into their team's permanent world. Instead, the entire gold-rank team had been wiped out.

After that, not even gold-rank teams tried to clear the storyline again. Later, several bronze- and silver-rank teams caused quite a stir in that story world, but all of them met the same end: total annihilation.

In the end, a black iron-rank team had meekly tagged along with the plot, steering clear of major events. They survived until the mission timer ran out and returned to the Hall with a new supernatural system, causing an uproar. Only then did this Question Mark Script world return to the Intruders' attention.
