That tile had come from the roof where the Magician now stood.
Then the Magician repeated the maneuver, gradually disappearing into the darkness as well.
Xiao Lin was an old hand, after all. Once his initial panic passed, he immediately sprang into action.
But his current body belonged to no spellcasting class, so he could only leap onto a nearby roof.
