As Dragon followed the Holy Light Cleric Captain into an unusually long, wide, two-story building, its roof crowded with dish-shaped devices bearing long antennas, he saw neat rows of square machines inside. They glowed faintly, their screens displaying countless numbers and patterns he could not understand.
Holy Light Clerics in spotless white uniforms, with golden cross badges on their collars, stared at the screens and tapped long, flat keyboards covered in buttons. Their expressions were intensely focused, and from time to time, they exchanged a few words.
Dragon surveyed the scene curiously. Although he had no idea what they were busy with, he widened his eyes, hoping to glean some information he could understand from those mysterious symbols and patterns.
But after looking at several screens, Dragon was still utterly baffled. Unable to make sense of them, he asked the cleric ahead of him. There was no shame in asking about something he did not understand, after all, and the Holy Light Cleric Captain had explained everything that puzzled him along the way.
"Captain Golden Eagle, what are they working on?"
"Oh, they're collecting data and controlling satellites," Golden Eagle answered with a slight smile.
Dragon was left even more confused. Just as he was about to ask what those things were for,
Golden Eagle's calm voice reached him. "Leader Dragon, I can't explain it all in a few words. You'll understand once we reach the Command and Control Room. You can think of it as monitoring the entire world."
Dragon nodded in astonishment. Monitoring the world? Isn't this organization boasting a little too much? Even the World Government wouldn't dare claim it could monitor the entire world.
Although Dragon thought the cleric was merely making grand claims, he asked no further questions and quietly followed the Holy Light Cleric
