A white light flashed before everyone's eyes. When they opened them, they found themselves on a grassy plain, with hills rising not far away.
"What is this?" someone asked, looking around in confusion.
Spatial teleportation. What an extravagant setup! Hawk-Eye marveled inwardly.
While everyone was still bewildered, countless strange projectiles suddenly flew in from the horizon!
"What are those?!" someone cried in alarm, hurriedly slashing at the projectiles with his weapon. But the instant his weapon struck one, a massive explosion erupted. Before the Adventurer could react, the blast blew away both his weapon and his arm!
"Argh!" The excruciating pain made the Adventurer scream.
"There they are! Kill them! Every extra kill earns five points for the village!"
As the Adventurers listened to a language they had never heard before, countless figures appeared on the distant hills. They wore strange clothes and forehead protectors bearing unfamiliar symbols, and charged toward them at incredible speed.
"Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique!" An Adventurer was just about to swing his sword at these strange fellows.
Then he felt the ground give way beneath his feet, and his entire body was buried in the earth.
As the strange man facing him rapidly formed peculiar hand signs, the earth tightened around his buried body. A crushing pressure followed.
"Urk!" Just as the Adventurer's eyes became bloodshot, he turned into white light and vanished from the battlefield.
Hawk-Eye casually cut down several strange figures. "What unusual abilities!" Watching the enormous rocks and earth spears flying toward him, he drew the Giant Sword from his back and swung it forward. A massive wave of Sword Aura swept across the entire battlefield.
For a moment, Adventurers and Ninja alike stood stunned.
