"Someone like that was already pretty decent by this place's standards!" Aiki remarked flatly.
"Captain, how much information did you gather today? And what went wrong with registering our church?" Elsa asked, looking at his troubled expression.
"Things aren't looking good. I went out today and used mind magic to investigate, so I've got a general grasp of the situation. People here treat infected children purely as weapons-and disposable ones at that!"

"The others, who can't fight, are simply abandoned, like the children we've taken in. Worse still, some twisted people seek out these homeless children to torment them. They have no humanity at all."
"Damn it! How could they do that? They expect the children to protect them, yet won't even treat them decently. They're nothing but bastards!" Furious, Elsa slammed her fist into the wall.
"People here are generally warped. They blame the children for every evil in the world, including the parents who gave birth to them." As Aiki spoke, a harsh glint flickered in his eyes.
"Damn it. What kind of world have we come to this time? Why does it feel even more twisted than the Empire Akame came from?"
"Captain, is there even any point in spreading the holy light somewhere like this?" Elsa demanded, confusion in her
