The Meeting Room was silent. The power the Holy Light Office had displayed was simply on another level entirely.
Aiki silently surveyed the presidents of the civil security agencies in the Meeting Room. Every president who met his cold gaze involuntarily took a small step back.
"Everyone, does anyone still have a problem with us taking in the infected children?" His calm voice rang throughout the conference hall.
Yet no one answered.
Up on one of the building's highest floors, Seitenshi could no longer remain seated.
"Aide Tendo, does the Meeting Room's remote communication system still work?"
"Lady Seitenshi, it has been completely destroyed!" A cold glint flashed in Kikunojo Tendo's eyes.
"I see! Come, we'll go straight to the conference hall!" After a moment's thought, Seitenshi calmly rose to her feet.
"Lady Seitenshi, you cannot do that. It would be dangerous," Kikunojo Tendo said, quietly moving to stop her.
"Dangerous? Could it be more dangerous than Tokyo's destruction? We must win over the Holy Light Office." Seitenshi looked at Kikunojo Tendo earnestly.
Kikunojo Tendo remained silent for a long time. "Lady Seitenshi, at least take your guards!"
Seitenshi nodded silently.
A squad of fully armed guards immediately surrounded the two of them, and the group hurried toward the conference hall.
Aiki looked at the silent agency presidents and smiled disdainfully.
"All right, everyone, carry on!"
With that, he prepared to lead his teammates away. Only then did the children, who had been standing there in a daze, begin looking at the Holy Light Clerics with admiration.
"These big brothers are so amazing! They seem even stronger than us!"
"Yeah, yeah! I heard ages ago that they were taking in lots of children like us in the Tokyo District! I even sneaked over to have a look. The others living
