The enraged crowd suddenly heard a long, lingering strain of music steeped in despair. Then the world before their eyes began to change violently.
The sky darkened, and a scarlet moon resembling a ball of flesh rose into the heavens. Countless fleshy lumps covered its surface. Mockery and cruelty gleamed within its pitch-black eye sockets, while a scarlet tongue writhed inside its gaping, bloody maw. Its enormous, razor-sharp teeth left no doubt about what it fed on.
