Seeing another new companion, the children gathered around Tina and introduced themselves.
"Tina, did you not sleep well last night? You look so sleepy!" Irene curiously reached out to touch Tina's little face. It was soft and smooth, lovely to the touch.
"I'm nocturnal, so I'm always sleepy during the day." Tina took a white medicine bottle from her pajama pocket, tipped two caffeine tablets into her little hand, and swallowed them in one gulp.
The girls watched curiously. "Tina, you're amazing! You're already taking grown-up things even though you're so little," one girl exclaimed.
"I only do this because I have to. Taking too much of this stuff is bad for you." Tina smiled and shook her head. "Anyway, where is everyone going? Are we going on a picnic?"
"No, no!" Irene, who was a little older, shook her head. "We're leaving Tokyo to build a home of our own outside."
Tina was slightly startled. "Why are we leaving? There are lots of monsters outside." She shook off some of her drowsiness and hurriedly asked.
"The bad guys in Tokyo want to drive us out, and some even want to kill us. Our big brothers from the Holy Light Clerics couldn't stand it, so they're taking us outside to build a new home." Irene waved her little hands indignantly.
"B-but it's dangerous outside," Tina warned, looking at the girls' serious expressions. She did not understand. Did these girls not know that the outside world was full of monsters? Even powerful humans had been forced by the Gastrea to cling to life behind the Giant Stone Monoliths. Where did they get the confidence to build a home beyond them?
"We know! But we believe our big brothers from the Holy Light Clerics will protect us." Kayo seemed to have noticed
