Watching the Orcs charge at them again from every direction, the Holy Light Clerics lost their initial ease, their expressions gradually turning grim.
What was driving those bastards? How could they overcome their fear of death and attack us again after suffering such heavy losses? The Holy Light Clerics fell silent, but they knew they could not retreat. Behind them were the civilians they had to protect. If they withdrew now, the Orcs' terrifying marching speed would render everything they had done so far meaningless.
The civilians' lives would no longer be safe. They were Holy Light Clerics, humanity's most righteous defenders. To uphold the honor in their hearts, they had to remain nailed to this spot and buy enough time for the civilians who trusted them to escape.
"Prepare for close combat! All Holy Knights, by the Holy Light, hold them back! Not one step backward!"
"Glory to the Holy Light! Fight!"
The Holy Light Clerics roared.
A massive iron hammer slammed into the Priest's Barrier, sending ripples across it. A Holy Knight's gaze was as sharp as an eagle's. Through a gap between the great shields, a massive Knight Sword gleaming with golden light pierced an Orc's body and emerged through his green skin. Blood and fire laid bare the cruelty of war.
Both sides fought desperately for their convictions. Durotan's Giant Axe battered the Barrier surrounding the Holy Light Clerics with tremendous force. Under the pounding, the Priest inside grew increasingly pale, and the transparent golden Light Curtain trembled ever more violently. From time to time, the Holy Knights' slashes swept across Durotan's thick hide.
Even as Durotan dodged with all his skill, deep wounds were left across his body. After exhausting the armored fighters' ammunition, the surrounding Orcs surged in like a tide to battle their
