After eating their fill, everyone lavished praise on Kushina's cooking, especially the two tiny Light Spirits, whose little bellies had bulged as they sprawled in Hexia's arms.
"Come on, Hexia! You need to find a wife who can cook like Kushina someday. I want delicious food every day!" Meizi kept pestering Hexia to find a partner as she lay in his arms.
Or chimed in now and then from the other side. On this matter, he and Meizi were firmly united.
Looking at the two little ones, both stuffed and satisfied, Hexia shook his head speechlessly. "Meizi, please stop. I'll find you one when I have time."
"Haha!" Kushina covered her mouth and chuckled.
The other team members couldn't help smiling either, though their captain's usual stern demeanor kept them from doing more than snickering discreetly.
"Minato, thank you for having us today. We should head back to the Embassy!" Hexia rose to say goodbye.
"Don't mention it. That book you gave me has helped me enormously. I should be thanking you. Let me see you out!" Minato hurriedly stood, responding modestly.
"No need. We've already taken up so much of your time today. We won't keep you and your wife from celebrating your taking up the Hokage position!"
With that, Hexia led his team toward the door.
Seeing that Hexia was determined, Minato and Kushina didn't try to stop him. Instead, they stood at the doorway to bid everyone farewell.
"Minato, they really are wonderful people!" Kushina said with a smile as she watched Hexia and the others leave.
"Yes! Every one of them has such faith. They never lose sight of the path they want to follow," Minato said, smiling as he watched them in the distance.
