The small boat cut ripples across the sea, moving neither fast nor slow.
Rob Lucci sat on a crate while Kaku rowed quietly. Neither spoke or exchanged a word.
An hour later, the boat reached their destination. Kaku let go of the oars, tossed them aside, and looked up at the sky.
"They aren't here yet?"
Lucci nodded. "Looks like it! We got here early."
"That doesn't make sense. When Kizaru made his move, that flash of lightning came from Enel, right?"
Kaku asked.
"That's right! It was him."
Lucci said.
"By the way, is Dark King Rayleigh still alive?"
Kaku asked curiously.
"He was dead at first, but after I rescued him, somehow, he started breathing again."
"As for his current condition..."
Lucci paused, then said gravely.
"He's critically injured!"
"But there's no telling whether he'll survive in the end."
An astonished expression crossed Kaku's face. "He's actually still alive!"
As they spoke, a shadow suddenly fell over them. They looked up to see an enormous ship made entirely of gold flying rapidly toward them, electricity flickering around its hull. It soon arrived directly overhead.
"They're here!"
Rob Lucci stood and hoisted the crate onto his shoulder.
Then he bent his knees slightly and sprang upward. His feet kicked against the air as he sped toward the golden ship overhead.
At that moment, the atmosphere aboard the Ark Maxim was decidedly strange.
Enel's expression was icy as he stared at the green-haired man holding three swords before him, his gaze flickering.
He had no idea why this fellow had suddenly appeared aboard his ship. What left him even more conflicted was that, after he informed River, River had forbidden him from attacking.
