"Roar!"
A soul-shaking roar rang out. With blazing orange-yellow fur, nine enormous tails blotted out the sky in an instant, swaying back and forth overhead.
Rumble!
Vast stretches of buildings collapsed immediately afterward. Countless screams rang out, and crimson blood spilled across the streets beneath the moonlight.
The enormous fox raised his head to the sky and opened his jaws for another deafening roar.
With casual sweeps of his nine tails, the houses around him and the people inside were flung into the sky and obliterated in an instant.
"It's the Nine-Tails!!"
"Why is the Nine-Tailed Fox here?"
"Quick, call for reinforcements! The Nine-Tails is out of control!"
"Aaaaah!"
Panicked cries erupted. Several figures appeared on the surrounding rooftops, fine beads of sweat forming on their foreheads as they stared at the terrifying, mountain-sized figure nearby.
One member of the Konoha Military Police Force, in particular, shuddered when he got a clear look at the fox's eyes.
"How is that possible?!"
The fox's eyes unmistakably bore the Uchiha Clan's Sharingan.
The very next second, the Nine-Tailed Fox moved. His massive body swept through the area, toppling building after building and claiming countless innocent lives.
Before this enormous tailed beast, commoners, genin, and chunin alike were utterly helpless. The slightest touch or glancing blow meant death.
In the shadows, a mysterious masked man in a black robe looked up at the chaos ahead and the growing number of Konoha ninja gathering around him, then turned his gaze toward the Forest of Konoha.
"Still not finished?"
He murmured to himself, a sudden sense of foreboding rising within him.
With the old man's strength, he should have dealt with his opponent by now. If he had not, however, he was probably in trouble.
