A crimson full moon hung high overhead, bathing all of Konoha's sky in scarlet.
The Nine-Tailed Fox threw back his head and roared. His enormous nine tails carried an evil chakra that sent chills through every ninja in Konoha.
In everyone's eyes, the Nine-Tails was evil and ominous.
"Ah! It's the Nine-Tailed Fox!"
"Heavens, wasn't he sealed away by the Fourth Hokage? How did he appear in Konoha again?"
"Where's the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki? Where's that monster?"
At that moment, everyone in Konoha panicked. Gazing at the terrifying beast that nearly blotted out half the sky, they felt helpless and hopeless.
Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi stared gravely at the distant fox, saying nothing for a long time. Dimly, he could make out what seemed to be a blurry figure standing on the fox's forehead.
"Fugaku, did you have to go this far?"
"The culprit who caused the Nine-Tails' rampage six years ago was someone from your clan, wasn't it?"
"So the Uchiha really do possess a means of controlling tailed beasts."
"You truly are a dangerous clan!"
Hiruzen Sarutobi turned his gaze toward Uchiha Fugaku, his eyes now filled with cold fury.
But Uchiha Fugaku stood there in a daze.
Even from so far away, he could clearly sense the Nine-Tailed Fox's evil presence.
That vast, ominous chakra could strike fear into anyone, and he was no exception.
"I don't know!"
"I don't know who controlled the Nine-Tails six years ago."
Fugaku spoke in a low voice.
Hiruzen Sarutobi froze at those words. He raised his head and looked into the distance again.
After appearing, the enormous, ominous Nine-Tails had not wreaked indiscriminate havoc as he had that night six years ago. Instead, he turned his head, seemingly searching for a target to lock onto.
"But as for the person controlling
