"Bang!"
Amid a billowing cloud of white smoke, Enma appeared.
When he saw the red-and-black Tailed Beast Bomb hurtling toward them, Enma's expression changed dramatically, and he cried out in terror.
"Hiruzen, how did you end up provoking this dangerous brute?!"
Hiruzen Sarutobi took a deep breath, his expression grim. "It's not as though I picked a fight with him!"
The Tailed Beast Bomb roared low over the ground, gouging a deep trench as it approached them with terrifying waves of energy.
In the blink of an eye, it was right before them.
"Find a way to stop it, Enma!"
The Third Hokage roared.
"How am I supposed to do that?!"
"That's the Nine-Tails!!"
Enma shouted.
But faced with the enemy's attack, they could hardly sit and wait for death. After a moment of shifting expressions, Enma quickly transformed into a staff.
"Adamantine Staff!"
Grabbing the Adamantine Staff, Hiruzen Sarutobi drew a sharp breath and roared as he watched the Tailed Beast Bomb draw ever closer.
"Stop it, Enma!"
A terrified face appeared on the Adamantine Staff Enma had transformed into. "I'm going to diiiiie!"
Hiruzen Sarutobi ignored his Summoning Beast's fear and swung the Adamantine Staff hard.
Its rigid shaft suddenly stretched, growing longer and thicker. In the space of a breath, it thrust toward the Tailed Beast Bomb overhead.
"Bang!"
In an instant, the Adamantine Staff struck the Tailed Beast Bomb.
Ripples spread through the surging energy, and the enormous Tailed Beast Bomb was halted in midair.
"Phew!"
Hiruzen Sarutobi let out a long breath, then swung the staff.
"Send it out of the village!"
"We absolutely cannot let it destroy this place!"
As the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi's resolve to protect Konoha was beyond question.
The Adamantine Staff trembled. Enma's face on its shaft had turned green
