Shang Xiangyu stood there, looking coldly at Zhou Zhang. "Where are the medicines?"
Zhou Zhang had always felt that Shang Xiangyu possessed an imposing aura even when unangered. Now, met by that icy gaze, his heart trembled slightly, and he hurriedly answered, "The ingredients are all here. We've gathered everything."
"Let me see them."
Zhou Zhang placed the black jar in his hands on the ground before Shang Xiangyu. "They're all in this jar. My father packed them in ice."
Shang Xiangyu's face was grim. It was as if he had not heard Zhou Zhang at all. He lowered his head to look at the black earthenware jar on the ground, opened it, and a chill spilled forth. Then, with a draw of his energy, several medicinal ingredients flew out of the jar, bringing shards of ice with them.
Two python gallbladders, two Purple Mountain Ginseng roots, and one Blood Lingzhi appeared before Shang Xiangyu, lined up in a row.
As Shang Xiangyu examined the quality of the ingredients, his expression eased.
The two gallbladders were as large as fists and black as ink.
The two Purple Mountain Ginseng roots bore a faint blood-red hue amid their purple color. They were clearly old enough.
Shang Xiangyu picked up the Blood Lingzhi and sniffed it before his nose. A strange medicinal fragrance immediately rushed into his nostrils.
Though this final Blood Lingzhi had been preserved for many years, it had clearly been treated properly. Its medicinal potency had been well sealed, with scarcely any loss.
With another gesture from Shang Xiangyu, the medicinal ingredients filed back into the black jar one after another. Only then did he raise his eyes to Zhou Zhang. His expression had grown far more cordial. "These ingredients are all quite good. They can be used."
