"Boss Slick, it's me, Kuka. Can you hear me?" Kuka's voice joined the tide of communication between Cheng Mingrui and the Hynth.
The arrival of something new immediately caught the Hynth's attention, and its consciousness swarmed over.
"Who are you? You're Kuka, aren't you! Where's your big colorful mask? I want to see you dance-no, do a shaman dance! I want to see it, I want to see it!" The Hynth was like a child brimming with curiosity.
"Boss Slick, what's going on? Who's this?" Kuka naturally didn't know the Hynth. He only thought this chattering thing was annoying, like a Gretchin that had eaten hallucinogenic mushrooms.
"Good, you got in! I was worried sick. This is a brat. Never mind it for now-go find Kidd. The work outside can't stop, or if this brat dies, all my work'll be wasted!" As though he had caught hold of a lifeline, Cheng Mingrui immediately told Kuka what needed doing.
"What's a brat?" Kuka asked in confusion at first. Seeing how anxious Boss Slick was, he stopped dwelling on it and focused on listening to him.
Once Cheng Mingrui finished, Kuka replied, "I'll go tell Kidd right now!" Then he severed the mental connection amid the Hynth's deeply disappointed protests.
The Hynth was very unhappy! It began raging at Cheng Mingrui. "How could you let him leave? I still had so many questions to ask him, so many things I wanted him to do!"
Cheng Mingrui remained gentle and calm. "He still had to leave, so you'll have more time later to get to know him and ask him questions."
"Time? Later?"
