"We've entered the Webway. Where should we sail?" Ovisus asked Yriel in her mind.

"Just follow... your heart... I have no strength left. I need to rest... rest..." Yriel's voice came in fits and starts, until he no longer responded, no matter how much Ovisus called to him.

"Follow my heart..." Ovisus murmured to herself. Remembering her kin who had fallen in the earlier battle, she made her decision. She would go to Octaria and see the true prophecy for herself, even if it meant her death.

To avoid dragging the other Aeldari into this, Ovisus planned to have the rest of the Aeldari fleet leave Octarius, while she traveled to her destination alone aboard a small, concealed ship.

The danger awaiting the young Prophet at her destination was probably beyond anything she could imagine.

The Octaria System was packed with Tyranid units. The various Tyranid Bio-ships likely numbered a million. The Ork Fleet in the system had been completely annihilated, and every planet except the main one had been fully occupied by the Tyranids.

The sole exception was an area on the main planet. Roughly three-fifths of its surface remained Ork territory, where the Ork Great Warboss still led his Ork Boyz in a stubborn fight.

The Great Devourer could no longer remember how many troops it had committed here or how much biomass it had wasted. Every previous deployment had failed. The Ork Great Warboss grew stronger with every battle, his body kept growing larger, and the guards around him grew ever more powerful.
