The last to speak with Sneaky Boss was Dio. His forces were fairly small: he was fighting the Tyranids with an Ork Fleet of only around ten thousand ships.
When they connected, he was commanding from his bridge.
"Looks like you won't be much help over there? Watch yourself while you're off having fun." After seeing the situation, Sneaky Boss prepared to cut the connection. Plenty of bosses were tied down fighting the Tyranids and couldn't pull away. That was normal.
"Wait, Boss! I'm nearly done here!" Dio hurriedly shouted. His shrill voice was especially grating even over Psychic Communication.
"Perfect timing, Boss. Come have a look at the Dio Cannon I built."
Naming a weapon after its creator was nothing new among the Orks. Only the creations the Mekboys loved most received that treatment.
So Sneaky Boss was genuinely interested in the Dio Cannon that Dio had mentioned.
This system had binary stars, and the gravity well of its sole planet was the battlefield between Dio's Ork Fleet and the Tyranid fleet.
The Tyranids were defending, and Dio was attacking. Dio's Ork Fleet was stronger, its ten thousand ships driving thirty thousand Tyranid Bio-ships steadily back.
The Tyranid fleet therefore relied on one of the planet's moons for defense. The Tyranids had already turned that moon into a fortress bastion, covering it with Spore Towers and Bio-plasma Towers as tall as mountain ranges.
The fire they spat out resembled a purple meteor shower, both extraordinarily beautiful and immensely powerful. It forced Dio's fleet to hold back rather than push too deep and get caught between the Spore Towers and the Tyranid fleet.
Though the battle appeared to have reached a stalemate, Dio looked utterly confident.
His fleet included an enormous Ork flagship, comparable in size to Sneaky Boss's Ship.
