Whatever the reason, the departure of the other Ork Fleets was something the Great Devourer welcomed. The strange thing was that the Warp had been open for a while, yet not a single Ork warship had entered it. Instead, they were using their engines' thrust to resist its pull.
Stranger still, an antenna extended from the bow of every Ork warship, emitting electromagnetic waves as though transmitting some kind of signal.
The Great Devourer found this behavior strange, and so did Boss Slick.
So Boss Slick switched on his receiver to listen to the electromagnetic signal. What he heard was so outrageous that even he, an Ork, felt ashamed...
The electromagnetic signal consisted entirely of Rottooth's insults...
"I ain't never seen Orks show up late for a Waaagh! before! Useless gits! Even Snotlings are better than you! Why'd you useless lot bother crawlin' outta the dirt? Might as well bury yourselves again! You're only good for Squig feed, and the crap they'd squeeze out wouldn't even stick to a wall!"
After that opening salvo, Rottooth kept up his barrage.
"Screw Clan's great, Screw Clan's strong, sends the bugs runnin' all day long! Green tides sweep across the ground, Boss Slick is the best around! Leads us into a Great Waaagh, while some dumb gits just fret and gawp!"
"This year's first Waaagh! came a little later than before! The badass Orks can keep up, and the bumpkin Orks can eat our exhaust!"
Out of curiosity, the Great Devourer also picked up Rottooth's profanity-laden electromagnetic signal. It did not understand those strange words. It truly did not... All it could conclude was that the Orks were a chaotic, disorderly, incomprehensible civilization whose behavior defied all logic.
