After leaving the Space Fortress, Boss Slick arrived on Ork V. He immediately requisitioned the entire material output of three Matter Generators. First, he needed to build a big—very big—Warp Guidance Tower.
Previously, he had used psychic power to guide the other Ork warships, but neither their numbers nor his efficiency had been sufficient. The Warp Storm had also intensified, continuing to relentlessly disrupt the Ork Fleet's passage.
Boss Slick had originally planned to fight a war of attrition, so he had not minded the reinforcing Ork fleets arriving a little at a time. Now that he intended to launch a decisive battle, he needed every available force.
In just one day, an enormous Psychic Power Convergence Tower was built. It looked much like the Eiffel Tower, only taller and larger, and was covered in portraits of Gork, Mork, and Boss Slick.
The Mekboys and Gretchin helping with construction had hung all those decorations. They believed such graffiti and portraits would improve the equipment's operating efficiency.
Atop the Psychic Power Convergence Tower, Boss Slick held the most precious material fused by the Matter Generators, using his mechanical authority to fashion it into a crown.
There was a gap in the center of the crown, intended to hold the gemstone that blocked psychic influence. The instant he put on the crown, the gemstone slotted neatly into place.
Once he wore the crown, everything Boss Slick saw through his psychic sight was projected directly into the Warp, revealing every detail with perfect clarity.
He could clearly see the source of the Warp Storm's energy within the Warp.
A group of Chaos Sorcerers on a Daemon World in the Warp were sacrificing living slaves, extracting their souls and blood to unleash the Warp Storm.
Those vicious Chaos Sorcerers tortured the living through cruel
