Even if the man was an obsessive fan, he still had to account for who he liked and just how far that devotion went.

Online, the accusations that Shen Lian had staged the whole thing himself were growing louder. A closer look, however, revealed that these people were all using much the same talking points. Clearly, plenty of paid trolls were involved.
"You think you're the only ones with paid trolls?!" Kuang Chenghai cursed.
Alongside Shen Lian's fans, Xingkai's paid commenters joined the fray. The firepower in the comments was nothing short of fierce. If the other side argued reasonably, they rebutted each point with numbered evidence; if they refused to listen to reason, they were ready to go all the way too.
None of that really mattered, though. That evening, the situation took a turn.
Shen Lian's studio released a statement saying that the man apprehended at the entrance to the fan meet wasn't a fan of Shen Lian, since he couldn't even get basic facts about him right.
An official notice followed, stating that the man had a psychiatric disorder. Further investigation had revealed that he was a
