After five straight days on set, Shen Lian finally had a chance to get out for some fresh air.
When Chu Yilan picked him up, he thought Shen Lian looked like a pale-faced scholar who had had all his vitality sucked out in the Spider Cave.
For once, Chu Yilan saw "filming is agony" written all over Shen Lian's face.
"Can you keep going?" Chu Yilan asked.
Shen Lian rested his hand on his. "Of course."
"Where do you want to go?"
Shen Lian blinked slowly. "Home to sleep."
Chu Yilan said, "Okay."
In the few days he had been away, all the little furballs had grown a bit. Big Orange had already made herself completely at home. The moment Shen Lian stepped inside, he saw her sitting primly on the cabinet by the entryway, her gaze serene.
"Hi~" Shen Lian greeted her.
Big Orange nimbly jumped down from the cabinet and sprang onto Shen Lian's shoulder. She was heavier now. Shen Lian raised his hand slightly, trying to steady himself. "Don't fall off."
Big Orange tilted her head and rubbed against his cheek.

"Chu Piggy, that ungrateful little thing," Shen Lian said, hugging Big Orange and burying his face in her fur.
Aunt Fen had clearly bathed her. She smelled of the shampoo Chu Piggy used, and a little golden bell hung around her neck. With her cheeks filling out, she was getting cuter by the day.
Shen Lian did not linger long. He went back to the bedroom, took a shower, then kicked off his shoes and fell straight into bed.
The lounge on set had practically no soundproofing. If someone next door coughed or knocked something over getting out of bed, he could hear it all. Shen Lian found it hard to sleep deeply
