Pang Zhe swaggered around even in Qu City, so it was easy to imagine how arrogant he was back home in Lightsea. At first, he had thought nothing of Xu Jingge, who had come from Lin City. If they were going to war, then even a powerful outsider couldn't overpower a local kingpin.
Then, at a reception, Pang Zhe got handsy with Xu Jingge's assistant. Even when he saw Xu Jingge's dark expression, he smiled in open provocation.

Still, it couldn't get too ugly. Chang Qing was there, after all, and in front of him, Xu Jingge always acted carefree and utterly incapable of scheming.
Pang Zhe was dragged away in the end. Xu Jingge asked Shen Lian, "Have you called him yet? Tell Chu Yilan to hurry up. I'm hungry."
"He texted me back. He might need another ten minutes." As he spoke, Shen Lian glanced toward the door. "What's going to happen to him?"
"My bodyguards don't know how to do much besides slap people," Xu Jingge said modestly.
