They had surrounded the enemy, held the advantage in terrain and morale, and outnumbered them by more than five to one... Frankly, General Otto had never even considered the possibility of defeat.

Yet facts spoke louder than words. Despite their superior numbers and preparation, the Bohemians had indeed lost. After an hour of fierce fighting, the matchlock riflemen, subjected to concentrated cannon fire and volleys of arrows, had been the first to break.

Next came the spear infantry formations closing in from both flanks. They held out somewhat longer, but it made no difference. They soon broke as well, dragging the reserves behind them into the rout.

Faced with a collapse on this scale, Otto kept his remaining reserves tightly under control instead of committing them, knowing they would be swept into the rout too.

As a result, he still had his reserves in hand, but the Bagnian Heavy Infantry were running wild throughout the Bohemian camp, destroying everything and killing people. This, too, was something Otto had never anticipated.

You defeated my troops, yet instead of withdrawing to regroup and reform your ranks, or going back to help your allies outside who are being charged in turns by the sword-and-shield fighters and light cavalry, you're doing this?
