Demeter, the Goddess of Agriculture, was a goddess whose divine domain overlapped with that of the Earth Mother Goddess.
So Chris found it perfectly unsurprising that the Goddess of Agriculture Church would clash with the Earth Mother Goddess Church.
The conflict that had just erupted, for instance, was a probe by the Goddess of Agriculture's side. They must have thought that, with Chris having cracked down on the Earth Mother Goddess Sect and even confiscated its main church in Votradnoi, this was a golden opportunity.
Well, it certainly was an opportunity, but the Earth Mother Goddess's following was down, not out. They had put down roots in the area over many years. Even if Chris disliked the sect, he had no way to quickly uproot its influence in the countryside outside Votradnoi City.
