If anyone in this city was truly neutral, loved the Minicia Kingdom, and sincerely wished it lasting peace, it was Oakland, the former king of the Kingdom of Bagnia, a pitiful refugee.
A former ruler of a foreign country who loved Minisia-it sounded absurd, but it was the truth.
Oakland had not been born loving Minisia. Rather, once his unfilial son Chris founded his own kingdom and became king of the new Kingdom of Bagnia, Oakland had grown very fond of the country he lived in.
That was simply because, as the war between the Minicia Kingdom and the Kingdom of Bagnia progressed, he had quickly gone from prisoner to honored guest here on Treasure Island... Oakland knew perfectly well why.
And so Oakland felt conflicted. On the one hand, he hated a Bagnia that was not under his rule. On the other, he had to admit that the Kingdom of Bagnia's strength helped him maintain his comfortable life.
Of course, it could not become so strong that it destroyed the Minicia Kingdom. Otherwise, he would be in trouble.
