The Storm's officers' lounge had been temporarily converted into a war room. A dozen or so player representatives sat in a circle, looking down at the captured sea chart spread across the large table in the center. Excitement and tension filled the air.

Standing beside the conference table, Knife-in-the-Butt gave two theatrical coughs. He was about to report his findings-not just to the player representatives present, but also to the viewers watching their livestreams.
The Revenge Fleet was a crowdfunded fleet, and Knife-in-the-Butt knew that perfectly well. Now that they had good news, he needed to report it immediately to bolster the shareholders' confidence.
"Brothers, I've got some good news for you. The cargo ship we captured is a valuable prize!
"Sure, all it was carrying was ordinary planking, semifinished timber, and stuff like that, but those are exactly what our fleet needs most right now. They're genuinely useful-we can use them to repair the damage to our ships.
"As for the prisoners, we've confirmed that the crew we captured are all half-elves. If we take them back to the Kingdom of Bagnia, they'll definitely fetch a decent price..."
Knife-in-the-Butt grinned at that.
"Of course, there are two little problems. First, these half-elves are all men, apart from one female mage. Everyone's bound to want a woman, but there's only one, which makes dividing them up tricky.
"Second, the Kingdom of Bagnia currently prohibits slavery. If we want to sell half-elves, we'll have to break the kingdom's laws first... but obviously, that's no big deal for any of you."
