Closer up, they could still see traces of fighting, and even bloodstains that could not be scrubbed away.
Luo Qimeng gazed at the scene before her, her eyes reddening. "Seeing this place brings back that nightmare."
Luo Qimeng had personally lived through the night Luo Water Manor was destroyed.
Luo Zixi clasped her sister's hand tightly, her voice choking up. "Sister, I let you all down. If I'd known sooner, I would have begged those Hidden Sects and the Jun Family to avenge you and wash away this blood feud."
Luo Qimeng wiped the corners of her eyes. "It's all right. I don't blame you. Don't mention the Jun Family. Just hearing about them makes me angry."
For some reason, she simply did not like the Jun Family much.
Li Chen gently patted both sisters on the shoulders. "The dead are gone. What matters most now is finding the Luo Family's legacy so you two can carry the family forward and restore its glory."
Those words made it clear that he was using this excuse to bring the sisters here to help him search for something.
But hearing him say that only made the sisters more grateful to Li Chen. They thought that
