After finishing a busy day of work, Li Chen went to the Imperial Garden to admire the flowers with Li Meng.

Li Chen gave Jiang Rong an approving look. "Thank you for your efforts."

Li Meng hurriedly added, "Thank you, Big Bro-ah, no, thank you for your concern, Your Majesty. And thanks to Sister Rong's help, my Bedchamber Palace is all in order now."

She sheepishly stuck out her tongue, having nearly blurted out her private nickname for Li Chen again.

Jiang Rong covered her mouth and chuckled. "Sister Li is so innocent and carefree. I'm very fond of her."

Li Chen took Li Meng's little hand. "Come on. I'll take you to meet the Empress Dowager."

"The Empress Dowager?" Li Meng suddenly grew nervous, her little hand unconsciously tightening around Li Chen's sleeve.

Seeing this, Jiang Rong reassured her gently, "Her Majesty the Empress Dowager is the kindest of people. There's no need to worry, Sister Li."
