The southern frontier of the Eternal Day Empire was a vast region bordering an untamed land of ancient perils.
Legend held that this had once been one of the final battlefields of the ancient war between gods and devils. The fabric of space was fragile and unstable, frequently developing collapsed, distorted rifts, while the laws of heaven and earth were chaotic and disordered. At times, flames scorched the sky; at others, ice blanketed the earth.
Yet danger often went hand in hand with opportunity. This land of chaos also nurtured wondrous treasures rarely seen elsewhere, rare mineral veins, and mutated spirit plants, drawing countless desperadoes, explorers, and opportunists in search of riches.
Along the edges of this land lived many distinct ethnic groups shaped by historical circumstances.
Among the more common were descendants of mixed human and elven ancestry. They typically possessed the elves' pointed ears and some affinity with nature, alongside human resilience and reproductive capacity, and were one of the minority groups officially recognized by the Eternal Day Empire.
They lived primarily in an ancient city called Silverglow City.
Silverglow City took its name from the special stone used to build its walls, which shimmered with a faint silver glow beneath the moonlight, much like an elven realm.
The entire city blended the imposing grandeur of human fortresses with the elegance of elven architecture. Soaring towers complemented the luminous vines twining around them, streets were paved with great slabs of smoothly polished white stone, and the buildings lining them often featured intricate reliefs and arched window frames.
