As of now, the first chapter had 2,400 paid subscriptions, and the average was 2,200 per chapter.
By noon, I figured the first chapter would reach around 2,500 subscriptions?
All in all, as a small-time author, I was very happy with these results.
After thinking it over, updating with 6,000 Chinese characters a day didn't seem quite right.
After some painful soul-searching, I made a difficult decision.
There would still be three chapters a day, but the total length would increase to around 8,000-10,000 Chinese characters, never less.
And that meant more content, not more filler.
Next, a note about the update schedule.
Now that the book had gone premium, I would no longer release the chapters separately.
Taking everyone's previous suggestions into account, all three chapters would go up together at 5 p.m.
That way, when you got off work or out of school, you could open Qidian and find my updates waiting for you. After a tiring day, you could relax with my novel during your downtime~
As for bonus updates, the conditions I listed in my premium launch author's note still applied.
I was also adding one more condition: whenever any character card reached 3,000 likes or a multiple of 3,000, I would post an extra 2,000 Chinese characters.
That made four permanently valid ways to earn bonus updates:
1: An extra 1,000 Chinese characters for a Helm Master-level supporter. If anyone became an Alliance Leader-level supporter, let's make it 10,000.
2: An extra 2,000 Chinese characters for every 300 monthly votes accumulated that month.
3: For the recommendation-vote milestones, reaching 10,000, 30,000, and 50,000 votes would each earn an extra 4,000 Chinese characters.
4: Whenever any character card reached 3,000 likes or a multiple of 3,000, I would post an extra 2,000 Chinese characters.
