Ling Feng had been engrossed in Make-Out Paradise when the sudden interruption soured his mood, and he shouted impatiently.
"Young Master Ling, it's me."
"That old bastard Jia Lie Bi?"
Recognizing the voice outside, Ling Feng frowned. What does that old geezer want with me now?
"Ah, I'll have to finish reading later."
Reluctantly tucking Make-Out Paradise into his clothes, he got out of bed and opened the door. Looking at Jia Lie Bi outside, Ling Feng asked impatiently, "Clan Leader Jia Lie, what do you want?"
Yet the instant Ling Feng finished speaking, Jia Lie Bi struck like thunder without a word. His right palm, charged with Dou Qi, sent Ling Feng flying backward. He only stopped when he slammed into the wall inside the room.
"Pfft!"
Ling Feng dropped to one knee and spat out a mouthful of blood, his face rapidly paling.
At the same time, sensing that Ling Feng was in danger, Shadow Seven, Itachi Uchiha, Kakashi Hatake, and the other Creation Characters sprang into action. Ling Feng suppressed his anger, but his gaze toward Jia Lie Bi was filled with icy menace.
Jia Lie Bi ignored it, instead looking at Yao Chen with awe in his eyes. Apparently unwilling to say much in Yao Chen's presence, he gave Ling Feng a thoroughly servile reply.
"A wise man knows which way the wind blows. There's no shame in attaching yourself to the strong."
"Since you're willing to live at someone else's mercy and be this old bastard's dog, there's nothing more for us to say."
At Ling Feng's words, Yao Chen's expression darkened as well. This boy is either practicing an evil art or is a monstrous prodigy. Either way, I absolutely cannot let him go!
