"What is it?" Alfonso opened the door a crack, showing half his face, his expression displeased.

He was working, and nobody liked being interrupted at work. Nothing like this had ever happened before. These obnoxious outsiders! He only held back from flying into a rage because the Clan Leader had told him to take good care of this brat.

Chen Mu noticed Alfonso's displeasure and asked calmly, "I'd like to know when the food will arrive."

"What a nuisance!" Alfonso muttered, then stepped out of his room and walked to the living room wall. Only then did Chen Mu notice something hanging there that looked like a pair of ox horns. Alfonso approached it and lightly touched the point between the horns.

A pool of soft light, clear as an autumn gaze, slowly unfurled between the horns. Countless little points shimmered within it, and Alfonso touched one with his finger.

The light swirled and swiftly changed, revealing the image of a woman. Alfonso spoke to the woman in a language Chen Mu couldn't understand. A moment later, he switched off the image and turned to Chen Mu. "There's a party tonight. The Clan Leader is holding a welcome feast for you."

With that, he paid Chen Mu no further attention and quickly ducked back into his room.

Tonight? Chen Mu glanced at the sky. It was still early, and waiting for the banquet would probably leave him half dead from hunger. He considered whether he needed to take matters into his own hands.

After some thought, Chen Mu, unable to bear his hunger any longer, left
