"Alfonso, put aside what you're working on for now," Chen Mu said as soon as he returned to the laboratory.
Alfonso blinked. "What's the matter?" He still had no idea what was going on. Everyone else stopped working too. They had never seen Chen Mu in such a blazing hurry. In their eyes, Chen Mu always went about his work with unshakable composure, methodical and unhurried.
"Bring over all the combat card machinery you made before. Let me take a look," Chen Mu said.
"Of course!" Alfonso perked up. He didn't understand why Chen Mu had suddenly taken an interest in card machinery, but this was the field he knew best. Card machinery-he liked that term. It sounded more professional. Was Mr. Chen planning to branch out into card machinery? The thought immediately excited him. The study of cards was profound, but he would have to learn it from scratch. If Mr. Chen could improve card machinery, that would suit his development much better.
What sort of man was Mr. Chen? With his abilities, if he began researching card machinery, the mere thought was enough to excite Alfonso.
Without another word, he immediately led a group to his quarters and brought back a huge pile of card machinery. Chen Mu cleared out a large room specifically to store it, and the room was soon packed to the brim. Most outrageous of all, Alfonso even hauled over several pieces of large card machinery from the assembly hall that Chen Mu had seen before.
These towering machines stood five or six meters tall. Their mere presence was enough to inspire awe and fear. Anyone standing beneath them was completely engulfed in their shadows.
"This is a Cluster Cannon. It's extremely powerful. Even fierce beasts will be blasted to bits if they take
