Their verdict came down to one sentence: it was simply too ugly!
It really was too ugly! Having witnessed its tremendous power, Alfonso could not tolerate such a powerful weapon looking so hideous. In a certain sense, Alfonso was a fine fellow with a genuine appreciation for aesthetics. He asked Chen Mu about the function of every component in detail, and soon mastered the weapon's entire structure, apart from that tiny card.
