The office was so quiet that even a pin dropping to the floor could have been heard. Every employee trembled, their faces drained of color. They had all imagined that the new boss would have some way of dealing with them, but none had expected this seemingly gentle, frail young man to employ such violent, direct methods. Once he acted, he left no room for maneuver.
The three men writhing on the floor seemed to be telling them just how ruthless the young boss before them, who remained utterly unmoved, truly was.
Chen Mu looked around and raised his voice. "Who is Bu Qiangdong?"
Everyone exchanged glances. A few seconds later, a bespectacled young man of about twenty-five stepped forward. "I'm Bu Qiangdong."
Chen Mu's gaze settled on him. Bu Qiangdong was just as pale as the others, but it was clear that he was trying his hardest to remain composed. Neatly dressed in formal attire, he had something of the distinctive air of a technician. That was Chen Mu's first impression of him. In the projects Skywing had completed before, which Chen Mu had just reviewed, his involvement was apparent in almost every one-and always in several crucial areas.
Compared with Chen Mu's narrow range of experience, Lei Zi had been exposed to far more. During their time making Card Films, Chen Mu had spent every day with Lei Zi, and through that constant exposure, he had gained some understanding of Illusion Card advertising. Besides, for someone capable of producing a complete Card Film, some of the work involved was clear at a glance.
Thus, in very little time, Chen Mu had discovered that Bu Qiangdong was the person truly essential to Skywing.
"What procedures are required to dismiss an employee?" Chen Mu asked calmly.
