Seeing the Y09 he had removed, Chen Mu felt his heart fill with joy. A person's ability was like water in a barrel. With every failure, the water level actually rose by an almost imperceptible sliver. To most people, however, that sliver was so tiny that the vast majority overlooked it. After enough failures, people often developed the illusion that their efforts had not earned the rewards they deserved, and most lost heart as a result.
One thousand six hundred and eleven failures, one thousand six hundred and eleven slivers, had gathered together and helped Chen Mu break through this barrier.
What excited Chen Mu even more was that, after he had solved Y09, his abilities seemed to have improved enormously all at once. Removing the energy blocks afterward went incredibly smoothly. Most came free in a single uninterrupted attempt. Even when he encountered energy blocks about as difficult as Y09, he could remove them easily after a few tries.
This left Chen Mu both excited and astonished. He even wondered whether it was an illusion.
In just half a day, he had completed more than half the model built from energy blocks, a complete reversal of his earlier snail's pace. With half the work done, the model's outline had begun to emerge. Originally, Chen Mu had thought the model was a fortress, but as he built it himself, block by block, he gained an entirely different impression.
That impression grew stronger as the number of energy blocks increased.
When the model was eighty percent complete, Chen Mu had already guessed that it must be some kind of energy structure. As for what this energy structure did or what properties it possessed, he could not yet tell.
No one could say exactly how many kinds of energy structures existed. Never
