The probing fluctuations were far too sensitive! Even the False Breath-Concealing Method, which had never failed him before, could not evade their detection. It gave Chen Mu an enormous headache. Concealment was his greatest advantage, and almost all his tactics revolved around it. Once that advantage was broken, his situation became dire.
This was the drawback of extreme tactics. Before this, Chen Mu had never realized just how extreme his tactics were. Only now, when he could no longer remain concealed, did he discover that he lacked other means of counterattack and had been forced entirely onto the defensive.
He had thought his plans were already quite meticulous. Never had he imagined they contained such a gaping hole. Chen Mu smiled bitterly to himself. Another of his strengths was his tremendous ability to learn.
But this time, he knew he was in serious trouble! The enemy's detection abilities were too powerful. He had nowhere to hide, which meant he could not avoid a head-on battle. Yet he was alone, while they numbered in the dozens. Their strength was on an entirely different level.
What should he do next? Chen Mu racked his brains, hoping to find a solution. He had been fleeing for three hours straight, but the probing fluctuations clung to him like maggots attached to bone, telling him that the enemy was still hard on his heels.
