Three regular, diamond-shaped blue crystals lay quietly at the bottom of the spring. The intense energy fluctuations came from those three crystals. Chen Mu carefully picked them up from the hot spring and brought them before his eyes for a closer look.
The blue crystals were perfect diamonds, transparent throughout, without a trace of impurity, like the purest sapphires. The largest of the three was about the size of a fingernail, while the smallest was only the size of a soybean.
Yet crystals this tiny gave off such intense energy fluctuations. He could only imagine how densely packed the energy inside them was!
These three blue crystals were not among the materials Chen Mu knew, but even so, he knew he had stumbled upon a treasure. Materials that could be used to make cards shared one requirement: they had to be compatible with energy. These crystals themselves contained a terrifying amount of energy, so their energy compatibility was probably absurdly high.
He swept the bottom of the spring with his perception and found no more blue crystals.
Chen Mu was about to leave, but after a moment's thought, he picked up a branch and stirred the sediment at the bottom. The instant he did, he sensed an energy fluctuation. Delight stirred in his heart. There were more blue crystals down there.
Sure enough, he found another two blue crystals the size of soybeans.
But the black mud at the bottom caught Chen Mu's attention. Despite all that stirring, the spring water had not turned cloudy in the slightest. It remained as clear as ever. The black mud was like a viscous gel, keeping as distinct from the water as two separate rivers. No matter how Chen Mu stirred, the mud and water would not mix.
Remembering that he had failed
