With nothing else to distract him, Chen Mu focused all his attention on the Arrowfish Challenge. However, unlike the situations he had encountered before, the Arrowfish Challenge was considerably dangerous. His last experience made that clear: the seven or eight red spots it had left on him had yet to fade, and each still ached faintly when pressed.
Chen Mu did not dare rush in and try things at random. Even so, he had no intention of beating a retreat. If he lacked the ability, he could work at it little by little. If there was danger, he could choose a relatively safe approach. Doing nothing was the worst choice.
The Mysterious Card really was baffling. First came the Body-Strengthening Exercise, then low-level Illusion Card crafting, then Perception training, followed by the Untangling Game, the crafting and use of the Tail-Shedding Shuttle Card, and now the Arrowfish Challenge.
The Body-Strengthening Exercise trained physical fitness. Low-level Illusion Card crafting methods, Perception training, and Tail-Shedding Shuttle Card crafting all fell within the realm of a card maker's knowledge. But techniques for using the Tail-Shedding Shuttle Card already belonged to the domain of Card Adepts.
The Untangling Game presumably trained explosive strength and techniques for exerting force underwater, but what were those for? And what category did the Arrowfish Challenge belong to?
It really was enough to give him a splitting headache.
Chen Mu also suspected that the condition for advancing to the next round was extending his Perception to a range of five meters. His current record, however, was 4.9 meters, leaving him just a hair short.
With his Perception showing no signs of progress, Chen Mu could do nothing about it. He actually had another suspicion: could the Untangling Game, the Tail-Shedding Shuttle Card, and the Arrowfish Challenge have some connection
