The spindle-shaped Perception vortex kept spinning inside Chen Mu. It was now almost twice the size it had been when it first formed.
This was Chen Mu's thirty-third experiment with his Perception. He had broken the experimental procedure down into very fine steps, examining the characteristics of the spindle-shaped Perception vortex at different rotation speeds in meticulous, concrete detail.
Based on his results so far, he had divided the rotation speed of the spindle-shaped Perception vortex into three stages: low, medium, and high. He had further divided each stage into five levels.
He was now testing the fifth level of the high-speed stage. At this speed, almost every Perception filament was mobilized. Hundreds of thousands of them shot out of his body and spread into the surrounding air. Under their influence, his six senses became sharper than ever before.
These Perception filaments stopped once they reached 4.9 meters. That was the farthest his Perception could currently extend; he had never managed to break past five meters. The invisible filaments floated around him like tiny tentacles. They were extraordinarily sensitive, able to catch even the faintest fluctuation of Perception in the distance.
This was already the highest speed he could control. His experiments so far showed that the faster the spindle-shaped Perception vortex spun, the more Perception filaments it released.
What would happen if I kept increasing the speed? He hesitated, unsure whether it would cause any adverse effects. Any further increase would put it beyond his control.
He rejected that risky idea and instead urged the spindle-shaped Perception vortex to slow down gradually.
The Perception filaments could extend no farther than 4.9 meters, a problem that had plagued him all along. He still had not found the factor that determined their length. The rotation speed of the spindle-shaped Perception vortex
