Jian Ya roared. His exoskeletal armour was in tatters, his helmet's faceplate shattered, and blood smeared half his face. But one hand held the Ork warlord's Power Claw in a death grip, while the other shoved the scorching Gauss Rifle straight into the warlord's gaping mouth.
"Taste this, Nob!"
Jian Ya pulled the trigger.
BOOM-!!!
The tremendous energy of the Gauss Beam erupted directly inside the Ork warlord's mouth, instantly vaporizing his enormous head and half his body into a green rain of blood!
With the warlord's gruesome death, the WAAAGH! field instantly collapsed. Leaderless, the Ork fleet descended into chaos and was finally annihilated by the frenzied human forces.
The battle was over.
Jian Ya climbed out of his ruined armour and collapsed onto the crater-riddled, scorched ground. He gulped down air, watching the human soldiers cheering around him. They were battered and wounded, but an unyielding light burned in their eyes.
He smiled.
"Boss, did you see that?" Jian Ya murmured, gazing at the blood-red sky. "We... held the line."
No Men of Iron. No gods.
With their own flesh and blood, humanity had defeated an enormous Ork fleet.
The wheels of time continued their relentless advance.
The Men of Iron Rebellion finally ended in an utterly devastating fashion.
After paying a price that brought them to the brink of extinction, the surviving humans shed blood and tears and exhausted every means at their disposal before finally destroying the machines that had once served them.
But the cost was catastrophic.
The former Dark Age of Technology was utterly over. Earth regressed into an age of technological barbarism. Those magnificent crystal palaces became ruins, knowledge was forgotten, and technology was buried. Warlords carved up the land, and technology deteriorated to the pitiful point where only gunpowder weapons and
