"What are you two talking about?"
Standing off to the side, Dick Grayson watched them with a scrutinizing, slightly odd look.
Although Zuo Ci and Diana had been speaking so quietly that he couldn't make out a word, for some reason, he felt as though he'd been insulted.
"Ahem, nothing. Kids shouldn't overthink things."
Zuo Ci coughed twice, looking a little embarrassed, and casually cast Bathing in Spring on him.
"Whoa, is this that magic I've heard about? That's amazing."
Dick felt his wounds rapidly healing in astonishment. Batman and old Alfred had told him before that Zuo Ci could use magic, but this was his first time experiencing it!
It felt absolutely incredible.
As it turned out, kids were easy to fool, no matter whose kids they were. Dick had already completely forgotten about the possible insult.
"We can talk about magic later. First, explain why a kid like you is somewhere this dangerous."
Faced with Zuo Ci's question, Dick replied as though it were obvious, "Because I'm Batman's assistant, of course. I'm here to help him deal with things. What's strange about that?"
"Oh, I see~ Give me a moment, then."
With that, Zuo Ci took out a phone and started tapping away.
"Huh? Who are you calling?"
Dick watched him in confusion.
"Prosecutor Harvey, obviously. It's bad enough that bastard Batman employs child labor, but he's even making you do dangerous work. I'll sue the pants off that son of a bitch."
Zuo Ci spoke with righteous indignation, and the call was just about to connect.

Dick panicked at once. If Batman got prosecuted, they'd be in real trouble. He might even end up all alone again.
