This neighborhood had been a chaotic part of the old Gotham, one of the most dangerous even in the East End. Now, despite being rebuilt, its public safety hadn't improved much.

Tonight, Batman intended to give these criminals a thorough cleanup before they fully adjusted to their surroundings.

Of course, with Batman's masterful stealth skills, he could pass unnoticed even in broad daylight, let alone in the dead of night.

So the deafening roar of the Batcycle was entirely deliberate. He wanted to flush them out while putting the fear into the bastards lurking in the shadows.
