As he spoke, Zuo Ci's gaze turned strange, and even Batman's impassive expression shifted slightly.

Just as Zuo Ci was about to finish the incantation, Batman spoke up to stop him for the first time.
"Hmm?"
Zuo Ci looked at Batman with mild confusion, but amusement filled the depths of his eyes.
"I... divination can be wrong, and it isn't precise enough. Innocent people could get caught up in it, so let me handle this myself."
It was a remarkably flimsy excuse. After all, he knew perfectly well that unless an incident was protected by some special power, Zuo Ci's divination was as precise as he wanted it to be. There was no chance of innocent people getting caught up in it.
But Zuo Ci said nothing more and simply nodded.
"All right, then. Good luck with your investigation. If you need me later, please have the money ready."
With things settled, Batman said nothing more and vanished from his sight in an instant.
