The Soul King arrived in Chang'an City by plane. At the airport exit, only the Mind Master stood holding a sign to welcome him.
The Soul King stood half a head taller than most of the crowd. Combined with his muscular build, he was conspicuous and easy to spot.
"Lord Soul King." The Mind Master hurried forward with an ingratiating smile and took his luggage.
"Why is it just you?" The Soul King frowned in displeasure.
At headquarters, he called the shots and had an entourage wherever he went. Here in Chang'an City, only the Mind Master had come to receive him. The contrast was a little too stark.
"We're a little short-handed here. The other person is accompanying Lord Red King." The Mind Master kept smiling apologetically. He knew the Soul King was deeply reluctant to come to Chang'an City, and he felt exactly the same way. He dared not do anything that might anger him.
