Deep night blanketed the heavens.

He had climbed Autumn-Gazing Mountain as quickly as he could.

Beneath the moonlight, his figure looked somewhat lonely.

After reaching the summit, however, Xu Qingxiao did not immediately gather yin-yang power and try to open the entrance.

Instead, he slipped into the woods and waited, holding his breath.

There were two White Robe Sect Disciples in Ping'an County.

One was Constable Chen, a low-ranking disciple.

The other was an important figure in the White Robe Sect. Xu Qingxiao had no idea how important; all he knew was that this person ranked higher than Constable Chen.

He had drawn a white robe at the inn.

By rights, both should have come, yet only Constable Chen had appeared.

That did not quite add up.

Thus, Xu Qingxiao dared not act rashly. He worried that the other person had been watching him from the shadows all along.
