Ever since Blackbeard ordered the fleet into the waters around Sharya Island, Marco and the Uchiha Alliance behind him had failed to follow. This left Blackbeard deeply puzzled.
Blackbeard understood the intentions of the Uchiha Alliance's Allied Forces. They wanted to delay him and prevent his army from returning to reinforce and defend its territory, which was why they had kept harassing him and slowing his retreat. But now that they had suddenly given up pursuing him, Blackbeard felt a wave of unease.
"Get ready!" Blackbeard said to the officers around him. "Set sail immediately. Don't waste time. I suspect they're up to something again. If we linger here too long, we may fall into their trap."
The officers had no idea why Blackbeard had such a premonition, but none of them said much. They all went off to direct the subordinates who were wantonly ravaging the country.
Lafitte looked at the king of Sharya, lying at Blackbeard's feet in a mangled, bloody heap, and asked, "Burn them? Or spare them?"
"Zehahahaha!" Blackbeard threw back his head and laughed. "We're pirates! Isn't murder and arson our profession? Now that we've plundered this country's treasure and supplies, it's doomed to perish sooner or later. We might as well do a good deed and send them to paradise early, sparing them further suffering!"
Lafitte understood. With a sweeping gesture, the pirates with greedy looks in their eyes immediately licked their lips and turned away.
In an instant, the country descended into a living hell.
In another stretch of sea some distance from the island where Blackbeard had stopped, an enormous pirate ship with a dragon-head figurehead sailed over.
"Boss, Blackbeard destroyed another country!" Lucky Roo, chewing on a chicken leg, said to Shanks the Red-Haired at the bow. "In barely more than
