Teacher, I Want to Graduate Early!

Noticing the issue between Jiraiya and Tsunade, Hikaru gave a slight shake of his head and paid it no mind. Tsunade beating Jiraiya senseless was something that happened all the time—nothing unusual. What mattered was how much of Tsunade's anger had built up.

That was directly related to Jiraiya's personal safety.

"Uchiha Hikaru, aren't you training with everyone else?"

The teacher walked over to Hikaru and sat down beside him without ceremony. He did not seem angry in the slightest, as though Hikaru slipping aside to rest instead of training was only a trivial matter not worth fussing over.

The teacher had long since grown used to this sort of thing. Which student with a bit of personality was not like this?

Just look at Orochimaru, Tsunade, and Jiraiya. Which one of them was any different?

Yet every one of them was a child held in high regard. There was no need to mention Tsunade. Although Jiraiya often acted in ways that deserved a beating, he was still diligent in training, never falling behind the others. As for Orochimaru, he was a publicly acknowledged genius.

The teacher essentially took a hands-off approach toward the three of them. Now, Hikaru had been added to the list.

The teacher found Hikaru a little hard to understand. The child who had once been quiet and withdrawn had suddenly seemed to become a different person. He no longer slept in class and listened attentively. He was no longer icy toward everyone as before. Though the only people in the class who could currently converse with him were Orochimaru, Tsunade, and Jiraiya, it was still a tremendous improvement compared to before.

He used to rush straight home after school. Now, he went directly to the Training Ground after class and did not return until late at night. He was hardworking and diligent.

The class teacher had been one of those who experienced the Ninja Wars. Though he was not very strong and could only play a minor role, surviving the war had not been easy. An injury had left him with physical problems, so he transferred to the Ninja Academy to become a teacher.

He looked like a cheerful, joking middle-aged man, someone who could get along well with his students.

"Training this afternoon was too exhausting. I want to rest now."

As a teacher, Hikaru did not believe the man had failed to notice his trips to the Training Ground. Since he already knew, Hikaru might as well be direct about it.

"Very good!!!"

The teacher immediately burst into laughter and patted Hikaru on the shoulder. Though he did not know what Hikaru had gone through to change so completely, it was a good thing.

This child's Chakra was truly astonishing.

Among the Ninja Academy's teachers, he was an exception. Most teachers were Genin or Chunin, while Special Jonin were rare. If not for his injury, he would never have ended up at the academy teaching a group of children.
